Hi, Reader— here again, sharing some of my thought process.
The more I learn about evolution and biology, the more surprised I am by nature.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how much learning changes the way we see. The more I understand about the lives, bodies, behaviors, and histories of the creatures I photograph, the more extraordinary even the smallest details become.
So I wrote a little about that — about biology, photography, curiosity, and the strange feeling that the more I learn, the more I realize how little I was seeing.
